When children learn to ski...

Would you like to have fun on the slopes with your kids and introduce them to skiing in a playful way? As a former ski instructor, I can give you a few good tips!
An old ski instructor saying goes: If children can walk, they can ski! And if you ask the locals, most of them learned to ski at a young age. And so it was that my two-year-old great-cousin wanted to hit the slopes this year. As a former ski instructor, I’m fully aware that safety and lots of fun are the most important things for a perfect start on skis. That's why I stayed with little Sebastian in our village.
The small but beautiful ski area of Filzmoos is perfect for children learning to ski or for advanced beginners or families. Three ski schools, each with its own kinderland areas, are available for beginners, the many small and easy lifts are great for intermediates and there are some steep, long, and more difficult slopes for the pros. In addition, there are three different sports shops in Filzmoos where you can rent skis. I would highly recommend you get good and detailed advice in advance. Because with the right equipment, skiing is not only more fun - but also a safe pastime.
Recently, a new children's trail called filZOO has been created, which offers young and old a lot of skiing fun. With fun animal figures, a wave track, and other obstacles, young skiers can improve their skills in a playful way and develop a passion for skiing.
What do I really appreciate about Filzmoos? This small ski area is less crowded than the slopes of the bigger ski resorts, so you don't have to worry so much about little skiers. There are also no queues at the lifts to spoil your skiing pleasure. But instead, there are perfectly groomed slopes, wonderful views of the surrounding mountains, and regional delicacies in the ski huts. Sebastian and I usually treat ourselves to a fluffy Kaiserschmarren (chopped pancake dish) after a day on the slopes!
