Georg likes swimming up top

Swimming trunks on, goggles on - and off to the Adventure Thermal Spa Amadé! Georg Oberlechner (30) swims his laps here several times a week to be fit for the next competitions and to be able to continue swimming at the top. This pleasant man from Altenmarkt is one of Austria's best disabled swimmers. His greatest success so far: at the CPISRA World Games 2018 in Barcelona, he swam his way to runner-up in the 100 m breaststroke (class SB6) with his spastic, left-sided paralysis. Georg is also a three-times state champion in the 50 m freestyle (class S7) and 100 m breaststroke (class SB6).

These are amazing successes for the top-motivated competitive athlete and member of BSV Pongau. "At the Adventure Thermal Spa Amadé I can enjoy optimum conditions for my swimming training. What pleases me most is the generous attitude of the spa management," says Oberlechner.
Georg Oberlechner has been working with his coach Engelbert Oppeneiger for a long time. It was he who realised early on that swimming is the best sport for his protégé. But Georg also enjoys cycling and skiing. And when he wants to get away from sports, he takes out his tenor horn. He also has a passion for music!
Georg Oberlechner is not the only one who enjoys swimming in the Thermal Spa Amade. Keen swimmers, active visitors, gentle bathers or sauna fans - everyone feels at home here!
