The celebrity chef: Nelson Müller
Drum roll please! Nelson Müller is coming to Wagrain-Kleinarl. The German celebrity chef, with Ghanaian roots, cooks according to the principle of “nose to tail“. That’s also interesting for our region, as the celebrity chef doesn’t like throwing away or wasting foodstuffs. And we don’t either.
After training as a chef, Nelson Müller worked in the star-rated restaurants “Résidence“ with Hénri Bach in Essen and “Orangerie“ with Lutz Niemann in the Maritim-Hotel Timmendorfer Strand. Back in 2009 he opened his own restaurant “Schote“ in the Ruhr Valley. In 2011 Nelson Müller cooked his way to a Michelin Guide star. In 2014 the opening of „Müllers auf der Rü“ on Essen’s Rüttenscheider Stern followed.
The host chef: Rudi Pichler
Rudi Pichler is a well-known face. This year too he’s host chef, and together with Nelson Müller will bewitch you on 18th March 2022 with his culinary creations. Those of you who’ve never heard of Rudi – CLICK HERE
The Ski & Culinary Delights dish
As 2020, the dish remains a secret. But I know this much already: the dish has been exclusively created for Wagrain-Kleinarl and it’s a culinary journey from the Ruhr Valley to Wagrain-Kleinarl. A main ingredient originates yet again from Bio from the Valley, as organic foodstuffs play an important role for Nelson Müller, Rudi Pichler and Wagrain-Kleinarl.
Skiers and snowboarders don’t have to wait until March for the special culinary delight. There are tasty treats available at the ski huts in Wagrain-Kleinarl throughout the whole season. And you can savour the special dish from Nelson Müller and Rudi Pichler at the following ski huts throughout the whole of the winter season:
- Kogelalm Wagrain
- Kühbergalm Wagrain
- Berggasthof Schüttalm
- Gasthaus Galler
Yes, and on the 18th March 2022, Nelson Müller comes to Kleinarl. Together with Rudi Pichler he’ll cook at the Schüttalm and spoil you with a culinary journey from the Ruhr Valley to Wagrain-Kleinarl.
