Mountain with fun factor
Whilst the skier enjoys endless kilometres of freshly-prepared slopes, loves the feeling of crunchy snow and makes refreshment stops in cosy, rustic ski huts – freestylers and snowboarders prefer things a bit more action-packed.
1.5 km long with more than 100 obstacles. The Absolut Park on the Shuttleberg in Flachauwinkl-Kleinarl is a real eldorado for freestylers and snowboarders and counts amongst the largest and best-known snow parks in Europe. Whether airtime on the kicker-line, freeriding in natural terrain or competing with your mates on the cross run. Enough to make the mouth of every adrenaline junkie water.
Freedom & creativity amid unspoilt nature
“The Stash“ belongs to the 7 various sections in the Absolutpark and makes the heart of every freeskier and boarder beat faster – here you can really let your creativity to run wild. The speciality of the park area is that the pistes are neither prepared, nor the obstacles shaped to the very last detail.
The massive backcountry area offers lots of opportunities for natural jibs and safe powder runs. Freeskiers and snowboarders who’ve already had the pleasure of trying out the setup of the “The Stash” are wowed. Quite rightly so, as in “The Stash“ lots of natural jumps, wooden obstacles, cliffs and wind lips are hidden throughout the natural terrain.
Off piste – as if skiing on clouds
Lots of riders associate skiing in deep snow with a great feeling of freedom in unspoilt terrain and soft snow. In “The Stash“ skiers are in completely safe terrain and at the same time intensively connected with nature. The best thing about it? – This “backcountry“ area is accessible via the “Powder Shuttle“ or “Lumberjack Shuttle“ lifts.
For kids and beginners and all those wishing to work on their skills and try out new tricks – the Lil‘ Stash is the perfect training ground. Thanks to wide, easy wooden boxes and rails this small beginner line is ideal for learning to freestyle.
The idea for “The Stash“ came from no lesser than Jake Burton and snowboard legend Craig Kelly, worldwide there’s only site. The figures and obstacles are all hand-crafted by US-American artist Bob King.
Fancy a break?
Between the rides you can meet up at the “Chill House“ at the end of the Absolut Park – as every action-loving skier and boarder needs a break now and again. With an indoor mini skate ramp, boulder wall and a large chill-out area with videos walls, you’ll find everything in the ultimate freestyle meeting point your heart could desire.
