There’s the Gault Millau guide, the Falstaff guide and then there’s me. Admittedly, I don’t know much about oysters, caviar or truffles. But when it comes to local cuisine, I’m an absolute gourmet. Our farmers’ natural produce such as milk, cheese, bread or meat almost certainly play a role. Plus I’m lucky that my best childhood friend learned his cooking skills from the very bottom up and nobody can pull the wool over his eyes. Right at the top of my hit list are smoked beef dumplings – a spherical dream!
