Ich wollte schon immer eine Wanderung mit Übernachtung auf einer Hütte machen.  Im Juli war es endlich soweit und ich entschied mich für eine erweiterte Version meiner Lieblingswanderung: die Wanderung zum Tappenkarsee. Damit ihr die besten Fotos von der Wanderung bekommt, werde ich euch hier ein paar Fotopunkte verraten, die immer ein gutes Motiv abgeben – inklusive Sonnenaufgangsfoto mit Gipfelkreuz am Weißgrubenkopf.

Zum Einstieg will ich endlich mal ein E-Mountainbike ausleihen und hole es am vereinbarten Treffpunkt in Kleinarl ab – mit der Option „Call your bike“ wird das E-Mountainbike direkt zum Hotel geliefert und auch wieder abgeholt. Ich folge dem Weg Nummer 1 und im Nu erreiche ich den Jägersee im Talschluss und finde hier schon meinen ersten Fotopunkt: den Jägersee höchstpersönlich. Wenn man Glück hat, sind auch die Schwäne gerade in der Nähe unterwegs, welche das Foto natürlich nochmal aufwerten. Dieses Mal nehme ich aber mit den Enten vorlieb.

Nach ein paar Schnappschüssen fahre ich den See entlang und weiter auf der Mautstraße (€ 4,80 für Autos) zum Schwabalmparkplatz. Hier schließe ich das Rad ab und beginne meine Wanderung zum Tappenkarsee. Am Beginn geht’s durch den Wald weiter ins Tal hinein, bald danach beginnen die etwas steilen Serpentinen, die sich den Berg hinaufschlängeln. Bei jeder Links-Kurve bleibe ich stehen und bewundere den Wasserfall, der dröhnend den Berg hinunterrauscht und welcher mein zweiter Fotopunkt der Wanderung ist.

Zwischendurch werfe ich immer wieder einen Blick zurück ins Tal Richtung Jägersee, der immer weiter in die Ferne rückt. Nach der letzten Kehre finde ich dann auch schon den dritten Fotopunkt bevor der Wanderweg in den Wald führt: der Blick auf den Jägersee und das Tal.

Afterwards I follow the hiking track further to the Tappenkarsee and enjoy the cool shadows of the forest. After some more bends I see the mountain like and after crossing a small wooden bridge there is the next photo point: the Tappenkarsee with the stone wall on the left side and the hiking trail and another stone wall on the right side.

Actually, the whole walk alongside the Tappenkarsee is full of picture motifs, in which I continuously catch the reflection of the opposite mountain in the lake, the Raucheck. Then I stop for a drink at the Tappenkarsee Alm, before following the final stage of today’s hike to enjoy my well-deserved dinner at the Tappenkarsee Hütte. I am looking forward to the Schwarzbeer-Schmarrn made by Andrea, which tastes delicious and is a beautiful photo motif.

At the evening I enjoy the sunset at the lake and take pictures from the other side of the lake.
Afterwards I go to bed quickly, because tomorrow a very special mission awaits me.

I wake up at 4 am in order to enjoy the sunrise on the summit of the Weissgrubenkopf at 2,369 meters – and of course taking pictures of it! Finally reaching the top, I am disappointed by a foggy view, which means that I cannot admire the sunrise and the view as expected. Nevertheless I return to the Tappenkarsee Hütte in a good mood, because a delicious breakfast awaits me there. Soon after I am returning to the valley and with the e-mountainbike I am riding back to the starting point to return the bike. For me it is clear that I will repeat this tour as soon as possible in order to see the yet hidden sunrise on the Weissgrubenkopf.
